Level Up is a new weekly program for tweens (and their families!) to learn about social justice and local civic action projects through simple, fun and enlightening group-based play.
The program will be delivered once per week (6:30pm-8:00pm) over eight weeks in small group format with up to eight kids and will cover the following topics:
- Self-awareness and self-care
- Growth mindset
- Empathy and privilege
- Conflict resolution
- Restorative justice
- Community development and leadership
Caregivers, parents and guardians play a crucial role in furthering their kid’s understanding of social justice and are therefore engaged between sessions through take home activities, dinnertime discussion prompts and field trips.
Level Up is brought to you by the Central Frederick Neighbourhood Association in collaboration with the City of Kitchener and the Downtown Community Centre.
The next quest begins January 2022. Registration starts soon. Subscribe to our mailing list to receive registration and program updates as they come out.
