Level Up

Level Up is a weekly program for tweens (and their families!) to learn about social justice and local civic action projects through simple, fun and enlightening group-based play.

The program will be delivered on Tuesdays at the Downtown Community Center and Thursdays at the Victoria Hills Community Centre from 6:30-8:00pm in the Fall (mid-Oct to mid-Dec), Winter (Jan-Mar) and Spring (Apr-June). Fees are pay-what-you-can with a suggested range between $50-120. Click here to register on ActiveNet.

Level Up Covers the following topics:

  1. Self-awareness and self-care
  2. Growth mindset
  3. Empathy and privilege
  4. Conflict resolution
  5. Restorative justice
  6. Community development and leadership

Caregivers, parents and guardians play a crucial role in furthering their kid’s understanding of social justice and are therefore engaged between sessions through take home activities, dinnertime discussion prompts and field trips.

Level Up is brought to you by the Central Frederick Neighbourhood Association in collaboration with the City of Kitchener and the Downtown Community Centre.
