The Central Frederick Neighbourhood Association is organizing an event to light up one of our streets with over 300 candles to create a runway for Santa’s reindeer and sleigh on Christmas Eve, and we are hoping to collect donations for the Waterloo Region Food Bank in the process.
Come and pick up a candle and bag during one of the following pickup times at AURA-LA Pastries + Provisions. Please bring a suggested donation of 1 non-perishable food item per candle. A table will be set up – simply drop off your items in the donation box and pick up your candle/bag! If you prefer, you can make a financial donation to the Food Bank on their website https://www.thefoodbank.ca/

After dinner on Christmas Eve around 6pm, come out to Brubacher St, fill your bag(s) with snow about half-way, light your candle and place it in the snow in the bag. Then place the bag on the edge of the curb/boulevard. You can space each bag a few feet apart. Then, enjoy a walk around the neighbourhood with your family to see the street lit up for when Santa arrives.
It is a great opportunity to say hello to neighbours and enjoy the lights and a nice walk on Christmas Eve
What street will the Reindeer Runway be on?
The street will be determined by the house with the most windows decorated for the Winter Window Walk!
