Thank you for being so generous! We have surpassed our fundraising goal and have raised about $34,000. Most of it came in the first 10 days of our campaign. WOW!

We still have a need for furnishings and other household items. Our plan is to start accepting them once we have secured a place for the family to live.
Last night at the CFNA Executive meeting, we decided to officially commit to helping a Syrian refugee family. We have partnered with Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) to sponsor a refugee family.
The exciting news is that we’ve already been matched with a young family of four from Syria!
Sponsoring the family is a year-long commitment to provide for their financial needs, find and furnish a home for them, and help them transition to life in Canada. It’s a big undertaking, but as a community, we’re up for it!
The first step is to raise the necessary funds as soon as possible: $27,000.

This is a time for us to show the world why we love Central Frederick! We live in a community where neighbours care about each other, and where people strive to be global citizens as well as local citizens. We can welcome this family to a safe and supportive community, and give them hope for a better life. Help us to make this happen!
