Weber Park Grand “Re-Opening” a Huge Success!

On September 10^th, 2009 more than 80 neighbours and friends gathered at Weber Park to celebrate the installation of some fantastic new playground equipment. While Weber Park has been a neighbourhood destination for many years for children and adults alike, the play area received a much needed facelift.

The celebration started with an “official” ribbon cutting ceremony which included all of the children (don’t worry no scissors involved!). They also welcomed the new equipment the best way they know how – by playing on it. From the smiles on the kid’s faces it was obvious the playground was a big hit. To quote one of the children at play that day, “This is such a cool park!”

The children (and adults) took a quick break to share in the cupcakes provided by the CFNA before heading back to the playground for more fun.

The event was a tremendous success and a good time was had by all (and not just the kids!).
